National Science Olympiad 2024-25: The Science Olympiad Foundation has released the dates of the SOF NSO Exam 2024, if you also want to apply for it, then you can apply directly from the link given below. SOF NSO 2024 exam will conducted on 18 October, 22 November and 3 December 2024.
Schools can select a date to conduct SOF NSO and then inform everyone so that candidates can prepare early to get selected for this examination, according to everyone’s convenience. Level 2 examination will be conducted in February 2024, and only those who have passed the first examination can participate in this examination. National Science Olympiad 2024-25
NSO 2023-24 Level 2 exam was held on February 2024. NSO Level 2 Exam Result: This exam will be conducted on March 2024 at 3:30 pm. Students can check their NSO exam date and venue on the official website by using their roll number. The NSO Level 2 exam was held in February 2024.

NSO Result 2023-24 Level 1 is available online at sofworld.org. To check SOF Level 1 NSO Result 2024, students have to enter the roll number, only after that you will be able to check your result. National Science Olympiad 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria 2024
According to NSO eligibility criteria, students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to appear for the 1st level Olympiad. No minimum marks are required.
- Students who qualify for the 2nd level exam include:
- Top 5% of students class-wise, who appear for the 1st level exam,
- Top 25 rank holders zone-wise and class-wise, and
- Class toppers from each participating school where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & score 50% qualifying marks. In case registration is received section-wise, students with the highest marks, irrespective of the section will qualify for the 2nd level. For the section-wise registrations, the winner(s) of the gold medal may not necessarily qualify for the second level.
Students from classes 1 and 2 are not required to appear for the 2nd level NSO exam and are ranked based on their performance in the first level.

National Science Olympiad 2024 Application Fee
- The registration fee for the students of schools in India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, & Nepal is Rs. 125/- (including GST) per student/ Olympiad.
- There is no fee applicable for students suffering from any major physical disability.
- The Indian students whose parent was martyred during different operations also need not pay the application fee.
- The application fee for other countries is US$9.
National Science Olympiad (NSO) 2024 Application Form (Registration Process)
Interested and eligible candidates who want to apply can apply directly through their schools, apart from this the application cannot be made through any other means. SOF does not accept individual applications from students. The complete details related to the 25th National Science Olympiad are as follows.
- The school needs to contact the Science Olympiad Foundation in order to get registered.
- After that, registered schools will receive a prospectus and registration forms from the SOF
- It is mandatory for the school to have a minimum of 10 interested students in order to get registered.
- In case any school wants to get the prospectus without getting registered then it can get it by sending an email at info@sofworld.org or by giving a call at 0124-4951200.
- After getting the registration form, the school needs to get the registration form filled by their students.
- Please note that the details entered in the registration form must be accurate. In case of incorrect or fabricated details, the registration form might get rejected.
- Finally, the school has to submit the duly filled registration forms along with the student’s registration sheet to the SOF’s office before the last date.

NSO Exam Pattern
Level – 1:
- The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.
- The level 1 exam consists of 35 objective multiple-choice questions for classes 1st to 4th. For Classes 5th to 12th students need to answer 50 objective multiple choice questions.
- Questions in the examination will be asked in English language only.
- There are separate question papers for each class.

Level 2: The level 2 is conducted for class 3rd to 12th students. The qualifiers for 2nd round include the following.
- At School Level: Class topper where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & score at least 50% qualifying marks.
- At Zone/State Level: Top 25 rank holders from each Zone and each class
- At International Level: Top 5% of candidates, class-wise, who appear in the 1st level exam internationally.
